The role of the Dietitian is to advise and counsel patients on food and nutrition in conjunction with the patient’s overall medical treatment plan.  The Dietitian is responsible for creating, managing and administering the organization’s outpatient nutrition program.


Essential Functions

  • Explain nutrition issues to clients.
  • Assess the dietary and health needs of clients and patients.
  • Develop meal plans for clients; gauge the effects of these meal plans.
  • Promote nutrition through public speaking and community outreach programs.
  • Keep abreast of the latest research in nutritional and food sciences. 
  • Additional duties will be assigned as needed



Experience, Education & Competency Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field of study.
  • One-year experience as a Dietitian or related role.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.
  • Intermediate computer skills and knowledge of MS Office Suite.
  • Highly organized.
  • Able to prioritize, multi-task and manage time to meet deadlines and time constraints.
  • Possess foresight to plan and prepare.
  • Must work well with all levels of persons and personalities. 


Certification/License/Registry Requirements


  • Licensed Registered Dietitian
