Responsibilities

The Medical Assistant/Registrar provides patients with care requiring observational, technical and manual skills under the direction of the Physician and/or PA-C/FNP.  Collaborates with community resources to assure continuity of care for patients.  Performs a wide range of registration and receptionist activities.  Delivers exceptional customer service while contributing toward the Business Services prime objective of ensuring Accounts Receivables are kept at a minimum.

 

 

Qualifications

Successful candidate must have:

  • Have a High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree (AA) or equivalent, Medical Assisting highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in related field
  • Current CPR card.
  • Ability to multi task and work under pressure.
  • Ability to operate 10 keys by touch. Keyboarding speed of 40 wpm.
  • Ability to interpret and verbally explain clinic/hospital policies related to Front Office Registration/Scheduling
  • Possess excellent critical thinking skills that can be used to intervene or use protocols as appropriate.
  • Have the ability to communicate in the English language.
  • Bilingual in Spanish, additional languages preferred.
  • Have experience working in a team atmosphere.
  • Be professional, well-spoken and outgoing.
  • Possess strong communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Be comfortable working with all levels of personnel.
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team, and to hold self-accountable and stay on task with minimal supervision.
  • Be reliable and dependable.
