Responsibilities

 

In addition to staff RN duties and under the direction of the Clinical Director, the Cath Lab Clinical Coordinator (RN) is responsible to assist with Cath Lab management, PCI Planning, development of policies and procedures; training and educating staff, competency assessments, scheduling of procedures, Quality Assurance, NCDR/ACC resgistry reporting, physician office liaison, direction of patient care, which will include participation in diagnostic and interventional cardioloy procedures, IR procedures, patient pre-and post-procedure patient care and discharge process, along with other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Meets staff RN requirements
  • BSN, preferred
  • Minimum of three (3) years clinical experience.
  • Knowledge of JCAHO, DHS/HCFA, CCS, EMTALA, and other regulatory agencies or statutes
  • Specialty certification in area of expertise (if not currently certified will have applied for certification testing within one (1) year of hire)
  • Current CPR
  • Curretn ACLS
  • Moderate Sedation, preferred
  • Teaching and directing ability and interest in scientific and technical procedures.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Demonstrates initiative in recommending and implementing change
