Responsibilities

Position:

 

The Surgical PA may provide diagnostic, therapeutic, surgical and preventive care, under the supervision of a physician or surgeon.  The surgical PA will assist the physician in the global management of patient care in the  per-operative setting, their primary role is to assist licensed physicians in the patient surgery,  performing  first assist duties.

Qualifications

Successful candidate must have:

 

  • Current and Valid CA Physician Assistant License.
  • Possession of a current certificate of completion from an accredited Physician Assistant Program, preferred.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • 1-year experience advance practice.
  • 3-years acute care clinical practice.
  • 2-years of Surgical PA experience preferred
  • Have valid and current CA Nurse Practitioner license.
  • Have a CA Furnishing License.
  • Have a DEA License
  • Current CPR card.
  • ACLS
  • Bilingual preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to make decisions using discretion and independent judgment.
